Science classroom. The original 1970's building was building with an open classroom design that proved ineffective. Partitions were built in the 1980s that established separate classrooms. Unfortunately, the HVAC system does not adequately move air through the building. Maintenance staff open up the entire school building on weekends to allow fresh air to reach the interior classrooms. Centennial K-12 school in San Luis, CO. October 12, 2006.

The building's HVAC system does not allow uniform control of temperature in the buildings classroom. Interior classrooms become very warm and have little air circulation. Centennial K-12 school in San Luis, CO. October 12, 2006.
